DFX is an affordable, full-featured digital minilab that uses commercial thermal inkjet technology to produce high quality, long-lasting prints. In addition to standard order fulfillment, DFX efficiently produces mixed and digital orders for one-hour fulfillment of high-value products such as custom print packages, specialty sizes up to 12″ by 18″ posters, calendars, greeting cards, and CD-ROMs. DFX is the first product offering from Phogenix Imaging, a joint venture that has brought together Kodak’s imaging expertise with Hewlett-Packard Company’s thermal inkjet technologies. DFX incorporates Kodak’s DLS software for great picture fixes, image editing and enhancement, digital workflow optimization, and flexible sizing. State-of-the-art commercial inkjet technology developed with HP and paper/laminate technology from Kodak enables a dry, easy-to-use system with a low purchase price and overall operating cost.

The DFX system has a flexible, open architecture that works with multiple inputs including digital media Internet file transfers, scanners, and more. DFX can be networked with retailer systems, online services and kiosks. The DFX system is compatible with the recently announced Kodak Image Access Standard. In addition, DFX can be custom configured to optimize retail space with components placed in different areas, rooms or floors. The optional 1-Touch integrated film processor/scanner, launching in the third quarter of 2002, allows effortless processing and digitization of film.

The Company estimates that the home hemodialysis market represents a multi-billion dollar revenue opportunity.
